As a player, Coach Duncan attended Sky-View Academy. During his senior season He helped lead them to a State Championship and was named the Tennessee State Class A Player of the Year. Duncan then signed with Jackson State Community College as a Pitcher/1st baseman and helped lead the Generals to the Western division crown in his freshman season and was named the Tennessee Junior College Co - Player of the Year. After finishing at JSCC, Coach Duncan signed with Union University and played 2 years. In 1991, after finishing his playing career, Duncan started his coaching career as a Graduate Assistant at Union. After graduating from Union in 1991, Duncan started his high school coaching career as an assistant at Sky-view and moved to Houston High in 1993. As an assistant and a pitching coach, Duncan helped lead Houston High to the AAA State Championship in 1996 and a 3rd place finish in 1999. After moving to Bolton High in 2000, Duncan helped lead the Wildcats to the Region Title in his 1st season.
In his stops at Houston and Bolton, Coach has helped many of his pitchers further their careers in college. Finally realizing his goal, Duncan was named as Head Coach in 2006 and helped lead Bolton Baseball to the Sectionals and one game from going to the State Tournament in his 1st season “With hard work and commitment, people need to realize they can accomplish anything”. After the 2006 season, Coach Duncan was named the “Coach of the Year” by the Commercial Appeal.
Chris is married to the former Shonda Byrd and they have Triplets named Connor, Cody, and Callie Jo.
