| |   High School: JJ was a three-year letterman for Coach Chris Ring at Arlington High School. As a senior, Devine batted .304 with five doubles and helped lead Arlington to runner-up in District 14AAA and Region 7AAA and a berth in the Class AAA state tournament. On the mound, appeared in six games and compiled a 1-2 record with a 3.44 earned run average. As a junior, he batted .316 with seven doubles, three triples, three home runs, and 21 runs batted in.
Summer of 2008, JJ played for the Memphis Tigers’ Connie Mack team coached by Keith Hagan. He batted .423 for the Tigers and posted a 4-1 pitching record with four saves. College: Played 2 years at Southwest Tennessee Community College played first base and roles as a relief and closing pitcher.
